The MiamiNAP is a carrier-grade, carrier neutral
facility providing the highest quality physical environment necessary to keep
our customers' Internet and telecommunications equipment up and running 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This facility is custom designed to
exceed industry standards for electrical and environmental systems.
In addition, it offers a wide range of physical
security features, including smoke detection, fire suppression systems, secured
access, video camera surveillance and security breach alarms. The MiamiNAP
achieves high levels of reliability through a number of redundant subsystems,
including power and fiber trunks from multiple sources, which serve as the
foundation for our industry-leading 99.999% uptime and availability service
level guarantees for power and environmental systems. The MiamiNAP is located in
an area of numerous telecommunications carrier facilities, fiber loops,
international cable landings and multiple power grids. It is located in close
proximity to major fiber paths undersea cable landings, and 4 major Points of
Presence ( POPs ).
Our Data center has been designed from the ground up
to eliminate all points of failure. It has redundancies in power, cooling,
environmental systems, security and connectivity, which has earned it a N+2
level of UPS redundancy, N+1 backup generator redundancy and a N+2 HVAC
redundancy rating. All these precautions are aimed at guarding the millions of
dollars in high-speed optical switches, routers, and fiber housed by our
clients.
